One conversation with AI becomes my newsletter, my blog post and my Google post. Here's the exact system, step by step.
You know that newsletter you keep meaning to send? The one that's been "this week, definitely" since spring?
It's Monday and you mean it. Then a teacher calls in sick, the washing machine full of towels starts making that noise, and someone needs their booking sorted. It's suddenly Friday, you're wiping down reformers, and the newsletter didn't happen. Again.
Mine was exactly the same. For years it went out whenever I remembered. Which was almost never.
It was never that I had nothing to say. I had plenty. It was everything around the writing. Formatting it. Uploading it. Turning it into posts for everywhere else. Against a week of teaching and firefighting, the newsletter lost every time.
So I fired myself from the writing, and built a system with AI instead. Now the newsletter goes out every single week, whether I have a spare afternoon or not. This is exactly how it works.
Every week, Claude (the AI assistant I run on my computer) starts the conversation. It asks me what I want in this week's newsletter. I tell it, like I'd tell a friend over coffee.
We follow the same structure every week, so I never sit staring at a blank page. And honestly, the blank page was half the reason I never wrote.
Claude writes the draft in my voice. Not robot voice. Mine, because it's learned how I actually write.
I read it, change anything I want, and approve it. Nothing goes anywhere without my say so. That part matters to me, and it should matter to you too. The AI does the heavy lifting. I stay the editor.
Once I approve it, Claude uploads it to Mailchimp (the tool that sends my emails). I go in, send myself a test email, read it on my phone the way a real subscriber would, and hit publish.
Total time so far: minutes. Not an afternoon.
Then Claude takes the newsletter and turns it into a blog post for my website. Right now I paste it into my website builder myself and tell it to publish. Two minutes, and the words I already wrote are now working for me on Google too.
Then it gives me a Google Business Profile post. That's a short update on your free Google listing, the one that shows up when someone searches for your business. Google loves seeing fresh activity there, and it's one of those quiet ten-minute jobs that helps new people find you. I upload it and schedule it.
I'm now adding an Instagram carousel and the text for a B roll (that's a simple video where you talk over everyday footage of your studio). And I'm slowly automating the whole chain, so every step happens with one approval from me.
I used to believe my sporadic newsletter was a discipline problem. It wasn't. It was a systems problem.
You don't need more willpower, and you definitely don't need more hours. You need the heavy lifting taken off your plate, so showing up every week costs you twenty minutes instead of an afternoon you don't have.
